Corning Display Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned company of Corning in the United States. In December 2015, its establishment was announced with the strong support from the Hefei municipal government. Corning invested about US .5 billion in total in the construction of a G10.5 glass substrate manufacturing plant in Hefei Xinzhan High Tech Industrial Development Zone. Hefei plant is the world's first manufacturer of G10.5 LCD glass substrates for OLED and LCD displays. Our customers use our high-quality substrates to produce televisions, laptops, tablet desktop displays, and portable electronic devices such as tablet computers and smartphones. Our outstanding melting technology provides key customers with largest glass substrate in the world so far. As the third display glass substrate production base of Corning company in mainland China, Hefei plant has strengthened the leading position of Corning display technology as a supplier of high-quality LCD glass substrate, which also shows our long-term commitment to develop together with customers in China.
